Everyone,

Thank goodness the month of May is over… I had job training for half the month (which, while informative, obviously wasn’t assembled to be anywhere close to entertaining) and upon coming back to the branch was informed that, despite said training, I was to cram four weeks worth of production into two.

I ended the month just scrapping, but not entirely meeting my goals which, ugh, is annoying. And also means I get paid less… *chuckles* So, here’s hoping for a REALLY productive June!

On a much more exhilarating note though, I bought my motorcycle! Yay!

As I had told several people, my original desire was to grab one of the new ’08 Kawasaki 250Rs. However, as luck would have it, the day I show up to buy one they’re all sold out and have put on back order for almost a month. So, I go to a couple other dealerships and, well, they’re ALL gone. Not a single 250R left around.

So, I refocus my energy on the slightly more expensive ‘07 Kawasaki 650Rs. Turns out the ’08 models don’t come in ‘Candy Plasma Blue’. The ’07 models did! And, aside from one being a ‘08 and one being a ‘07 they are mechanically identical. Headlight assembly looks a bit different but that’s all.

So, I sit down with the dealership’s sales department for several hours and after much debate amongst the dealership staff it was determined that, since I was paying cash, they’d be willing to sell me an ’07 650R for well under it’s actual MSRP. The deal was sweet enough to make an ex-car salesman such a myself happy and so I took it.
